Our first Sheltie "Laddie"
I would like to introduce you to the people that reside with these wonderful shelties, and their friends. We have had Shelties as pets for 34 years their names were Laddie who came to us as a rescue, and with his loyalty and love sold us on this spectacular breed . Laddie resided with us for 12 years and crossed the bridge suddenly surrounded by his family. Our next sheltie was named Brandy he was brought as a gift for our son but loved by the whole family. He was with us for 14 years until illness took him from us. The experiences we shared and the love they gave can never be replaced. They are always apart of our family and our history. Shelties continue to be part of our lives enjoy looking at our site and getting to know us. My name is Pat Loring and I have worked as a RN for over 30+ years I am now retired which means I work from home I have the pleasure of caring for my 4 year old granddaughter, Jenna, during the week and her brother Jack. We also have another granddaughter Anna, who lives in NH and is 13 years old. I do the grooming and some training with Sam and Molly. I travel as the passenger to Molly’s shows. My husband is our biggest supporter and is usually found entertaining Jenna, and the dogs or fixing things that we need to have done or creating things that make our life easier, he is very inventive and we couldn’t survive without him. Linda is our daughter who works as an x-ray technologist. Linda is learning all about showing and is doing the handling with Molly, as a team they are doing well and are a pleasure to watch. Our 2 sons are married but visit often so we always have a houseful of happy, hungry people which means the animals are very well socialized and pampered by all. As time goes on and Molly matures more we hope to see her fill our expectations in the ring, as she has a wonderful pedigree with both dam and sire coming from the Laureate line her sire being Canadian Ch Laureate Landslide ROMC “Drew”. Molly was chosen out of her litter by us to be a family member. Linda flew up to Ottawa to get her as we didn’t want her to be shipped and she flew home on Linda’s lap. (Thank you again Kim for letting Linda go to your home and all the help you gave us.) As Molly has grown, her qualities have also expanded and we decided to see what she could do in the ring. It is a ongoing learning experience for ALL of us but, it has also been a time of meeting some very nice fellow sheltie people who are always willing to help us along the way. Hopefully we will at some point give back the help that was given to us to some other new Sheltie people.
